Formwork service
Commercial Buildings
STRUV forms commercial structures across Melbourne and Victoria — suspended slabs, walls, columns, lift and stair cores — on a repeating deck-to-deck cycle with propping and back-propping designed in-house.
Scope of works
Engineering input
Deck loads and back-propping are checked through the levels below before the first pour, table and prop layouts are drawn rather than set out on site, strip times are nominated by the engineer against measured strength gain, and the cycle is written into a methodology the head contractor can programme against.
Service FAQs
Five to seven days per level is typical on a repetitive floor plate using table or drophead systems. Cycle speed is usually governed by concrete strength gain for stripping, crane time, and steel delivery schedules — not formwork labour capacity.
Yes — crane-handled box forms, modular panel systems, and conventional core shutters, complete with integrated access and edge protection designed as part of the temporary works package.
Yes. Stressing access platforms, back-propping retention until initial/full stressing is complete, and stripping sequences are closely coordinated with the PT subcontractor and the structural engineer of record.
