Formwork service
Civil & Infrastructure
STRUV forms civil and infrastructure concrete across Victoria — bridge abutments and headstocks, culverts, headwalls, pits, barriers and pile caps — including work staged around live traffic and rail occupations.
Scope of works
Engineering input
Civil pours are the ones where pressure gets away from people: deep lifts, cold weather, retarded mixes. We set the pour rate from a calculated pressure envelope, size walers and ties to it, and design falsework support to the ground conditions actually on site rather than an assumed bearing capacity.
Service FAQs
Yes. We strictly follow relevant road and rail authority specifications and project ITPs—including mandatory hold points—with formal pre-pour inspection records issued in the handover pack.
Yes. Occupation and night works are detailed in our methodology. Formwork is pre-erected, inspected, and signed off prior to the track possession window so time on site is dedicated strictly to concrete placement.
We pour the base slab first with integrated kickers, followed by wall and soffit forms braced against calculated lateral concrete pressures. Soffits are supported by designed falsework systems and stripped only upon reaching specified compressive strength.
